Chemical Processing
Precision injection & compression moulding for durable industrial applications
We specialize in Technical Moulding Services that bridge the gap between standard plastics and high-performance engineered components. Our facility is equipped to process advanced polymers and reinforced thermoset composites designed for demanding environments - delivering excellent corrosion resistance, reliable electrical insulation, and an optimal strength-to-weight ratio.
Technical moulding converts high-strength polymers and composites (SMC/DMC) into durable industrial parts using heat and immense pressure.
1. Material Loading We start with high-performance plastic pellets or reinforced composite "sheets" (SMC) and "dough" (DMC). These are measured to an exact weight to ensure the mold is perfectly filled.
2. Heating & Softening The material is heated in a barrel or a heated die. For Thermoset Composites, this heat triggers a chemical reaction that permanently hardens the material so it can never melt again, even under extreme industrial heat.
3. The Moulding Press
Injection Moulding: Melted plastic is "shot" into a steel mold at high speed.
Compression Moulding: A massive press (up to 2000 tons) squeezes the material between two heated halves, forcing fibers into every corner of the design.
4. Curing & Solidifying The part stays in the mold for a set "cycle time." This is where Epoxy Resins and SMC reach their final strength and heat-resistant properties.
5. Ejection & Finishing Mechanical pins push the solid part out. Any extra material at the edges (flash) is trimmed away to create a clean, professional finish.
6. Final Testing Every batch is checked for impact resistance and electrical insulation. This ensures the part won't crack or leak electricity when installed in a high-voltage or heavy-duty environment.
